Tonight when we were coming in to the dock i went to put it in reverse to slow down but my motor was trimmed very high and i didn't stop and hit the metal on the end of the dock (probably only doing 5 mph). Its a fiberglass boat and it put a quarter sized deep gouge in the front of it. Its not a hole but the paints gone and you see fiberglass, it happened toward the top of the boat at a point that sits a few feet above the water and there are no cracks coming off of it. My question is how much do i need to worry about this and is there anything that i could paint over it to repair?
