...you hit it right on the dot.
I've not served myself, but have family who has and spend a decent amount of time working with guys from the 101st. I try and keep up a little bit with all the kings horses and all the kings men. Nothing fancy though - I have to go back and look up stuff. Long and short - I appreciate the guys at the sharp end of the stick.

I have a buddy who lives in Oliver Springs, Tennessee.
I get up to Oak Ridge and Knoxville quite a bit. It's beautiful country over that way.

Best to ya' on the restore. I'll be watchin'.

Can I join? I'm not sure I'm a true tri-hull or a pretender, but I'm definitely gonna need you guys' help. My 1st boat. It's a POS now but has potential as long as I put in some elbow grease.

I present to you "Blue". 1976 16' Chrysler Hydro-Vee w/ Chrysler 105hp outboard.

No Title

I Have a 1975 Bonita boats Tri-hull. They were made in Orlando florida. Hull is very solid but needs a transom loor and prolly stringers. Im an Airframer in the navy so hopefully between my metal fab and composite repair skills i can make this happen. This site has an amazing amount of information. Ive never restored a boat before but hopefully with all the experiance on the iboats she will see the water again.

Thanks, Southkogs. I just dropped a new post in the rebuilding forum. Gonna document this. 1st boat, total teardown. With an engine NOBODY wants to touch with a 10' pole. I'm THAT guy.

Somebody get me a sticker. That'll make me feel a little better.

I'm a proud new member. Picked up this 74 StarCraft Capri in April ... I just couldn't resist the awesome avocado. It's a nice original boat but these are the before pictures. Since then its received a new transom, plus a lot of cleaning, some trailer work. I was hoping to avoid the transom work, but everything I looked at from this era needed one. At least this one had perfect fiberglass in the splashwell area, it had never cracked. Someone took very good care of it until quite recently. Now Carpet and seats are just about ready to go back in. Been a lot of fun so far. Looking forward to getting it in the water!

Cool boat and that's a great outboard. Spent my teen years with a boat like that one. Welcome aboard.

Thanks. It's a sweet little boat I can tow behind my escape. As bad as the transom was, the original floor is still about 90% pink and perfect. A small bit of black in one area, and I'm under no illusions there. I probably should have fixed it also, but I don't have the heart to redo such a mostly good floor. Going to have some fun instead and check it a few years from now.
I have one more picture to share with you guys, look what I found under the seat. Original owners manual, still bagged and stapled right through. I'm grateful to the original owner for all the care this boat had.

New to the forum. I purchased this '67 Caravelle Tri-Hull last fall and have been slowly fixing her up. I have a 115 Johnson I am overhauling for it, but currently have a 60HP Evinrude on there. I have only had it on the water once. Love it so far. Great fishing rig.

I am new to the site and very excited to find other Tri -Hull fans. Here is my 77 Invader Executive Elite. I bought her about a year and a half ago and as for the water ready? She needed some TLC but man oh man this boat is a blast to relax on weekends at the lake. Here are a few pics. I am looking to swap out the doghouse and build a sundeck / bench seat for the rear.

Well, once my paint comes in, I'm going to be finishing up the paint on the Glastron. My journey will be coming to a close quickly once the paint is on. I will still have a ways to go, but I will be able to present a complete hull this year.
