Hey guys! I used to be a member a few years back, and I have just got the free time back to work on my boat. I have a 1965 Glassmaster Runabout with 1965 60hp Sportfour. I am going to try and scan these forums until I get accustomed. This is a great site and I hope to gain a ton of info from the great people on here as well as provide some!

Happy Boating!

I'm in Aiken County in SC, right across the river from Augusta. My plans right now are to get her running again. Currently, the starter is not engaging, the gear is just rattling around, which has NEVER happened before. Other than that I plan on buffing the gel-coat and cleaning her up some more.

Cool post a picture when you get her all shined up.....I'm in York, SC, just across the state line from Charlotte.

Re: NOOB from SC

Good deal! My band plays in Charlotte from time to time. Quick question....anyone know the best way to get the top of the starter off? It's the part with the bendix gear(?) that catches and spins the flywheel. I'm wondering how to get the nut off of the top...I turn it and it just spins the gear.

Any help is appreciated!!! I have a manual on the way!
