Outlw, the last two times out wind was nasty for two days in a row. Glad you at least got one nice one.

Still only got one fish this past Sunday, but at 23 1/2 inches I can't complain!

The boy and I got back on the water this morning and had some success!
It's been a long, long time. ;)

We're going back out tomorrow and did some preps tonight in order to get ready.

The bass I caught didn't fit in our little cooler, so we bought a simple aerator pump and put it into a larger old cooler that I have. The boy added his minnow bucket bubbler as well. That should keep the fishies alive until we get them home. šŸŽ£šŸŸ

Getting up at oh-dark-early... :sneaky: :coffee:

We found a beautiful spot just a couple minutes from the launch ramp.

Mudfish caught on a topwater, then released.

Bass caught on that same topwater a short time later.

Good luck tomorrow looks like a great spot you found there. Love the photos you and Outlw36 post. Iā€™m trying to get back out there but last 3 times out the wind has been awful šŸ˜£.

Thanks, we did get back out there this morning. šŸ˜Š

We arrived at the boat ramp after daybreak but before sunrise. I'd like to have been there earlier. Maybe next time.

I couldn't make up my mind which pix to use, so I just shoved them all together into a video! šŸ¤£

We got back out there again this morning. I got 3 small bass in the livewell and lost a 4th at the boat. šŸ˜

But the boy lost a big one next to the boat which was bigger than all 4 of mine combined! He was not happy! šŸ¤Ŗ šŸ¤£

Nice to see you 're still able to get out. With the ongoing drought here I have to find another lake if I'm going to get out again. Water level is too low Boat ramp is out of commission.

Yeah, several lakes closer to home for us are also not usable with the boat because of our drought too. The lake we've been going to is more than an hour away, but definitely worth the trip.

We finally got out fishing again a couple days ago. Not with a boat this time though. And no fish caught but we did get a few bites. :sneaky:

Still, it was nice to get back out to the water.

I am 5500 miles away from my home lake currently and am getting pictures sent to me of the stripers and lake trout they are catching ... the guys at the lake know how to hurt a guy!

Spent the last two weekends in Green Bay.
The river finally cooled down, and the walleyes turned on.
Fished from 5:30 pm till 8 pm, 4 days. Just after sundown for about an hour was hot.
The 2 of us managed to put 41 eyes in the boat. 15" - 25"
Casting rapalas and tail dancers in 3-9' of water.
Not much current, all gates closed on the dam, caught all but one within 100 yards of the dam.
Bonus was a 27" cat, caught on a light action ugly stik.

Boat is now safely tucked away till spring, as snow will be flying here in a couple days.

Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible. :(

Okay, I am officially jealous! 41 eyes in 4 evenings, 2 guys ... man that is some good eating and a lot of fun! I don't know if I would have been ready to put the boat away ...

Of course, my boat never gets winterized because it is kept in a heated garage and used pretty much year round, as long as there is not too much hard water to break through at the launch ramp ... The lake trout fishing really picks up around and after deer season ...

Nephew has some pics on his phone, I'll see if I can get them.

This is the fall fattening spree that often happens after the weather is too cold to be out on the water. This year it was in the 50's, cooling into the 40's after dark. There still was only a dozen boats on the water.

The spring spawning run in Green Bay/Fox river/De Pere is insane. Hundreds of boats, thousands of fish - per hour, when they are biting.
But a limit of 1 fish and it must be over 28", so as not to deplete the spawners.

Spring is when we have to deal with white algae making the ramps slippery.
