...well it was a great game, and congrats to L.A for the win, they earned it. That was one good game, particularly the late 3rd and o.t periods. LA has some great talent and it was nice to see Justin Williams get the mvp. He is always one of those guys who does well but is never in the top 10 to get all the accolades. Plus, you gotta love Darryl Sutters reaction to the win....I think he almost smiled...LOL. Those sutter bro's are characters, they were never high talent players but they always find a way to win and as coaches they are very hard to play against because they have relentless strategies.
Still, thats it for the year....now time to catch a few World cup soccer games!!

LA really controlled possession well in game 5. Lotsa missed chances to have a game 6. It was fun playoffs to watch and I hope not to wait another 20 yrs for a cup chance.

Great game 5. LA played well, and showed throughout that they could battle back and overcome deficits.

One thing I've come to believe is that, in playoff hockey, sudden death overtime stinks. I think a team should not only have to score, but they should have to hold the lead to the end of the period. I hate seeing overtime games end without the losing team having a chance to come back.

Couldn't disagree more.
Hockey is one of the few sports where every resumption in play has an equal opportunity for either team to gain offensive possession.
That is 100% fair and more equitable than any other sport that I am aware of....and don't get me started on the shoot-out! :facepalm:

I agree. I hate the shootouts. I would prefer a short OT and then declare a tie for regular season games.
