Re: NFL week 15

As one of our local broadcasters said today - there is no ring for 16-0. Ultimately, its about the playoffs and the SB, if you get that far.

???

That is the ABSOLUTE TRUTH! Winning the Super Bowl is the only game you must win.

So what was that last play by the Redskins ???:confused:

About as brilliant as Childress wanting to pull Favre in the 3rd quarter while leading by 1 point....

Where the heck are the Redskins that gave the Saints all they could handle a while back?

That's the thing this year, most teams are having an up and down season. Look at the AFC. There's still a half a dozen teams at 7 - 7 still in the wildcard hunt. Huh?!

Well, I thought Brett Favre would get hurt/worn down by the end of the season. While that hasn't happened, apparently he is wearing out his coach. Latest reports are that their feud is real, that Brett wants to make all the decisions and argues with the coach, a lot. Gosh, I love 40 year old "I don't want to go to training camp or practice" prima donnas! That'll get you a Super Bowl win, for sure!

As a Redskins fan, I'm so glad high school football is over. Was getting sick of the kids asking if they could play the Redskins for homecoming!

What a wild week , Can't wait for this week to start sorting out the playoff teams .. Or will it make for a nail biting week 17 ??? I hope so , makes so many games worth watching . I am a diehard Colts fan and am really worried about San Diego and NE ! Would really like to see NE at number 3 seed so the Colts will only have to face one of them !

W I am a diehard Colts fan and am really worried about San Diego

I've been saying that for weeks now. The Chargers scare the crap out of me! We should be able to beat them, but they have OWNED the Colts (1-5 against Chargers in last 6 games.)

The Colts have changed up a lot this year and have proven they can win the tough games as well as the easy games. The Chargers bring a lot to the table against the Colts that most other teams don't do as well(diversity, run, pass rush, etc.).

Go COLTS!!!

Well, I gotta call them the "Ain'ts" today. The game was embarrassing. Unless Sean Payton has some sort of weird plan to let the other playoff contenders build false confidence, I'd say the Saints are in trouble.

Where's my paper grocery bag? Beat by Tampa????????????????????? :(

Don't feel bad Jay, the Colts handed the game to the Jets on a silver platter and begged them to take it today. I think they're letting the Jets into the playoff just so they can rough up or beat the Pats for them. I can't think of any other justifiable reason because either the Jets or the Bills could prevent the Colts from having a perfect season.

You might be on to something, the Colts would rather have the Jets in the playoffs, than the Steelers. It's an interesting conspiracy theory.
But really, a perfect regular season means squat (New England 16-0, but the Giants won the Super Bowl, ring a bell?) but having healthy skill position players helps you win playoff games. I suspect they'll do the same next week, too.

Well I just hope history doesn't repeat itself because in 2005 they clinched first round bye, gave away the last two games, and lost the first game of the playoff. Healthy starters don't do any good if they're rusty. We should have thick enough ice by next Sunday and I'm going ice fishing instead.

Good teams should be at their peak this time of the season , not lose 2 of 3. On the road with Chicago, could be tough even tho it shouldn't be. Back home against the Giants who they always have a tough time with..... C'mon Vikes, get it together!!! (Maybe a member of the team is an Iboat fan..:))

Although, since they won their division, maybe some of these players just need a good rest for the playoffs. Even tho they look like they need all the gametime practice they can get......
MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL AT THE HALF

Well it's now 16-6. Of course, they missed the extra point. Lethargic is how the Vikes look. Maybe it's really the Giants playing the Bears. Tough to tell....

You hit the head on the nail there. I can't believe he took manning out last week. I guarantee you, that I the colts don't play their starters at least 3 quarters next week, they will lost the first game they play. They are stupid. You to be sharp going into the playoffs, not rested. They already have a bye.
Manning will have a good month off if they don't play him.
