Bells latest saga....

He has until the 13th to sign the franchise tag. Rumor has it, he wont. If he doesn't he could be 3rd year franchise worth $25m in 2019, which the Steelers have no desire to pay. He could be labled a transition player which is only valued at $9-10m.

Then Bell can go out and test the waters with other teams. Giving the Steelers a chance to match. Bell still could go to another team which would leave the Steelers empty handed. Which I think the Steelers might embrace, especially given the way Conner is playing...

I think I got it right. My head hurts....

I hope he transitions to former NFL running back! :D

The non-exclusive tag is the same from a fiscal standpoint, but lets players negotiate with other teams, who can make them contract offers. The player's current team can match any offer sheet, and if they decline to match, then the player's new team has to send two first-round picks as compensation.

Please Cleveland - Pick up Bell! The Steelers can use the first pick next year! LOL

Or better yet - The Giants 1-7 or Raiders, also 1-7.

Bell's latest communique;

To save you from standing on your head, both tweets flopped;

"Just about everybody has an opinion on my life and worried about what I'm doing. Don't judge me off my decision because maybe this isn't what you'd do.... But most people don't take the time to simply read between the lines and that's clearly on them. I'm not going to apologize for what I believe is right for myself, family and the rest of my peers, period.... Also, if you're really finding the time to figure out what I'm saying you've proved my point."

What a perfect time for all the 32 owners to collude with a wink of the eye if he doesn't report. Kaepernick him. Wouldn't it be fitting if they offered him 6 or 7 mil a year on a 1 year contract. I'm just throwing numbers out there but I think you get my drift. Franchise tagging him for the 3rd year and 25 mil just ain't happenin'. That's basically paying him 13.5 for a paid leave of absence this year because I think he might be worth 13.5 a year. To me that's a fair number based on what he has done and not taking into account his attitude towards the league, management and his team mates. His dbag approach may cost him 10 million dollars a year, USD!! Saskatchewan could use a good running back, Edmonton as well. Long Johns and Toque included in contract. I would guess the top RB here might get $125,000.00 a year, in Canuck funny money. I need to check.

Here you go, no nubers for a RB. Top QB salary today is 200K with incentives that may reach to 300K, that's in Canadian $$$ which is around 72 cents USD. Veteran signing bonuses are a whopping $7500.00.

He is back in Pittsburgh, playing basketball at an LA Fitness Center ... guess he isn’t too worried about injury ... Ding Dong has issues.

Great ... The Steelers host the Panthers tonight and Antonio Brown gets arrested for doing over 100mph in his black Porsche on Pittsburgh streets ... arrested for reckless driving. Hmmm, you think?

I better tell Denise, he's on her team. He isn't playing I assume?

Maybe AB spent too much time playing hoops with LB? Didn't want to be late for the pre-game meeting.

The article says he was cited, meaning a ticket. In PA even a speeding ticket counts as an arrest. Used to anyway, been a long time since a PA cop pulled me over.

Yes, in PA cited = arrested. Steelers have not commented yet, to my knowledge, and are investigating the incident. I hope Brown is not in charge of teaching JuJu how to act ...I like Brown, when he is at his best, he is fun, quirky, enjoyable to watch. When he is down, it is ugly. His mood has been more ugly this year, and I am wondering how much Ding-Dong's hold out and their relationship has effected AB this year.

Looks like I was off on my prediction back on page 1. Apparently Gruden and Co. are tanking for the #1 pick in Oakland/Vegas and are currently ahead of the Bills in that race...although not by a large margin.

Not sure how Peterman still holds a job in Buffalo. His accuracy is great when he throws to the other team!

I got my info from ROTOwire
WR | PIT
Brown was cited by police Thursday in Ross Township, Pa. and charged with reckless driving, Channel 11 News Pittsburgh reports.
Spin:
According to the report, Brown was traveling in excess of 100 miles per hour before being pulled over by police. A Steelers spokesman relayed that they are aware of the incident, but it likely won't impact Brown's availability for the team's Thursday night game against the Panthers. Though Brown's 11.6 yards per catch average is his lowest mark since 2010, the wideout has reached the end zone nine times through the Steelers' eight games, putting him on pace to surpass the career-high 13 touchdowns he posted in 2014.

That's understandable. Depending on what model Porche he drives you can't get out of second until well past 100MPH. Not his fault.

I just saw Dez Bryant interviewed on the NFL Network. He is in Saints garb. When asked "Why the Saints.? He actually replied "Because they are a great team." Which translates to "It's the only team that will have me." Not even my Bills wanted him and they don't have a single viable guy. Good luck to them both.

As far as my guy Nate Peterman, I have said before his pass to TD percentage is the best in the NFL, problem is the scoring is a pick 6. I have never seen such a QB controversy ever. Not who's best, who's the worst of the worst. He has to be the best practice player in the NFL. How else can he be still on a team. They benched Tyrod Taylor for him for exactly 30 minutes. That's when Taylor showed he is one of the classiest players in all of pro sports. I just hope they don't rush Josh Allen back too fast and ruin him for life like Washington did to RG3. They ruined the kids knee for life and we watched it in real time, sad. I was screaming at the TV watching him hobble around. Not sad, horrific.

As I mentioned earlier, until I see him in a Steelers uni, I don't think he's coming back.... Or, he's trying to play everyone like a fiddle. I think his teammates are so over him they could careless......

Rooney says the Steelers expect Bell to return next week. However, if he is not in "playing shape" (whatever that means), he can be made to sit 2 more weeks and loose 2 more week's salary. He is listening to the wrong voices for his career.

In other news, Big Ben says he will pay any fines that are accrued by his linemen for sticking up for him after the hit by Reid. Reid made nice, apologized, and all made up before Reid was escorted off the field.

Big Ben probably has any fines covered by game incentive bonuses from his outstanding play last night.
