I recently had a boat handed down to me from my father. It was my fathers friends boat, we've spent countless hours on the lake fishing with it. When our good friend passed about 4 years ago we let it sit and didnt use it much afterwards. Well i finally pulled the tarp off and cleaned it up a little bit (pine needles and leaves, the boat was full because the tarp had split). My dad is looking for the paper work but he told me he thinks its an old 65 lone star commander, and that it has the original 65 evinrude 9.5 hp engine. I want to strip the paint epoxy all the seams and rivits inside and out primer and paint it to an original color. My first question is what has worked the best for stripping the old paint? My second question is should i use glovit inside and out to seal all the rivets and seems? My third question is there a special primer and paint that i need to use? And lastly ive googled this boat so many times but for some reason i cant find pictures of original colors and paint schemes does any one have one? Also i will post a few pics when im on my computer later today, sorry for the long post, thank you ahead of time! Also any random i formation on these boats that may be useful would be much appreciated, i just have not been able to find much of any thing about the boat
