Re: New CC, take 2

I just picked up my engine and got a spare prop for her. Excellent experience at Sportfishermans-Supply in Muskegon!! Had a large selection of used props in excellent shape for $40-$50 each. If any of y'all on that side of the state are looking for a repair or parts shop I would recommend talking with them! Now to get the ss bolts to put the new transom in

Well, I'm down to one SC... I sold my Jet today to a grandpa who wants to use it with his grandkids. Kinda sad to see her go as we had TONS of fun with her last year but now the Mariner is taking her place.

On the Mariner, this week with the warmer temps I decided to paint the splash well before putting the transom back in... going with a Royal blue to cover the avacado green. Hopefully I'll get the new transom put in this week!

Sad to see you're no longer a Commodore.

Sounds like the boat is going to a good place. :applause:

Royal blue should look awesome, that green is :miserable: and went out with the :mullet:. Someday maybe mine will change.

We need some :photo: action.

I reread the earlier posts... yes 64, the shop I bought the rude from has quite a few motors up in CL. He had probably 30 or so in his shop.

I'll get some more pics up soon, I really haven't done much in the past couple days due to work. I did get the carpet on the gas tank box, pics soon

Also mended the knee brace with some angle aluminum 2013-03-11_15-17-22_881.jpg. I'm surprised how smoothly this rebuild is going...

I used a good deal of 5200 caulk on all bolts, around all edges on the motor board, and to hold the cap piece down. It has about a dozen little tack nails as well along the inside and outside edges. I'm hoping to have her all ready to hit the water as soon as the ice is gone... early April hopefully!

What are yalls thoughts on a kicker in general? I won't be trolling, it would strictly be a backup.. should I stay with the electric or bolt the plate on and put a gas kicker on?

I love my kicker, check out my Jet thread, I have mine tied into my main steering with maybe $20 of hardware + a little dremel work for the tierod end.

later I got a full control box setup, just super nice putting around the lake all day long on 3 gallons of fuel.

Don't cry GA the Avacado is a pretty color but Royal Blue is too.

Hey, BD - the tears were only for the Jet leaving Chief's marina. If the green caused an emotional moment, it would be :puke: Just not my favorite color. Now the blue Rusto,
