Morning from California,
It's been a while since I've taken any pics or posted anything. My new dilemma is paint related.

I have been recreating the stern wood piece and have finished the wood with the spar. One problem is that I am trying to locate a paint for the sheet aluminum. Someone at some time decided they wanted a texture so they used that granite type spray paint. I am in the process of stripping it but was not able to take that off without taking up the original paint:grumpy:. So I am trying to find a suitable replacement. I don't intend on painting the bottom so I wanted something that would be close. I am trying to find an Avocado Green or comparable paint colour. Any suggestions on brand or website. Watermann had provided great images of his Starcraft with the tractor paint unfortunately they didn't have a colour that was close.

As always Thanks, DT.

I'm thinking the only way to get a color match is to get some quarts and mix them yourself keeping close track of amounts used to get that perfect color.

Yeah no tractors were avocado green that I know of.

Some Ace Hardwares will tint their version of Rustoleum, Rust Stop, and they use a color match computer when they do, so any custom color is possible.

As always Thanks guys for the great direction. I will check a few of my Ace Hardware to see if they provide that service. Hope to be posting some pictures as soon as I can get some done pictures. Now that the weather has finally gotten better to complete some started projects .
