I know this is a very well covered subject on here, and I have looked at many of the diagrams offered already, but since this is my first electrical project, and none of the diagrams are exactly what I am trying to do I want to ask for some input from the professionals on here.

I am modifying a 14' duracraft jon boat and what I want to rig up is two 12 volt batteries with a battery selector switch and a voltmeter to see how much charge I have left. The batteries will operate a 12V Endura 50 trolling motor, bow and stern lights and a bilge pump. The diagram below is how I envision the layout. Can someone please edit the drawing with the appropriate runs of red and black wires to show how I should wire this up?

Many thanks for anyone's input. This site is an awesome resource.

Re: Need Help Wiring a Jon Boat

Welcome to iboats! It will be easier and cheaper to put the battery switch back by the batteries.
