I don't check NA$CAR stuff till speedweeks. I must say I think this sux. There are 2 things they need to do to make the chase better.

#1. Have the final race at Talladega. Turn it into a 600 miler. Scrap the no passing below the yellow line rule. Throw the restrictor plates in the trash.

#2. Throw Cheat Knaus out of the sport.

If Knaus is cheating, it is only because NASCAR has wrote the rules in such a way as he can get away with it. Please point out where he is breaking rules? 278 Vista?

Clearly the 48 car (majority of the time) can outrun any car in the Hendrick fleet. The 48 also stinks up the show way too much for pure luck. They've been caught many times in the past too. Whatever they have now, NA$CAR hasn't caught them yet, or paid not to catch them.

I am not a JJ fan, but it gets so old hearing people accuse without evidence, every single team in NASCAR has been caught at one time or another since day one, of doing something they are not suppose to. I have known many of the drivers over the years, including Dale Sr. and they push as far as they can to get an edge on the others, but until such time as someone brings real evidence to the table that JJ is cheating, it is nothing more than an accusation. I started watching NASCAR in the 60's and remember another driver that dominated and won 7 championships, have had lunch with him, and have never seen anyone accuse him of cheating as much as JJ gets accused, his name is King Richard.

All I can say, if you don't like what happens in NASCAR, then do yourself a favor and don't watch, instead of running your mouth with no proof.

These are no longer "Stock" cars, far from it for a long time. Same as the NHRA and Top Fuel Funnycars.

Personally I've taken to Pinks All Out. Much more competative and fair. Run what ya brung and then set the field to the top 16 closest timed cars.

Nascar has lost my interest and the Chase is meaningless. What was said about consistancey. You're telling me that if someone can finish 10th every race then they should/could be the Champ. Why not just turn it into a 30 week endurance race. Each week you start the next race by where you finished the week before. At the end of the 30th week the leader Wins!

Well they announced they have changed the Chase format, it will be the elimination rounds with the winner take all at the end. No more Bonus points and no more complicated math.

I don't know, I am sure they will explain further as we get closer to Daytona, I was just stating what was in the article at the link I posted.
