Re: My first boat restoration, I need some guidance - PLEASE HELP!

Ok I went back and reread but I don't see that I have asked this before. If I did, please excuse me. Stringers: do I want them 1 sheet (3/4") or 2 sheets (3/4" ply)? I am down to doing my last stringer and have several of the supports done (by done I mean shaped and sized to fit unless I am doubling up the stringers to 2 ply). I looked at a few other people's and it appears they are only 1 thickness of 3/4" sbut there is still time to tell me if not. :D Tomorrow I have to go help the parents but Friday I am hoping to be glassing in stringers and ribs. YAH!

Edited: Still hoping to start glassing Friday although Sat or Mon it should be done (if the weather holds). Got some pictures for you. I still have some small tweaks to do and the final leveling off. I am starting to get a better idea of how to do these so of course I am thinking I should do them over and make them more "perfect".

Anyone see any problems yet?

The best I can tell from your original pics is that the original stringers were 3/4". I'd go back the same. by the time you get the glass on em they'll be approx. 1" wide. Tip: Make a mark on the tansom where they butt up so you'll have a reference when installing the deck. ;)
