i just recently purchased my first boat and i can tell already that im going to need some advice. soon ill be posting more pics and info but the thing im most worried about is about a stringer that rotted partially .

Welcome to Iboats ninja .. ..

Dont do this resto if your not familiar with glass..

Its Called a Bow Break .. and its a big glass job for a lot of DIYers .. ( Not to mention the trans well job ).

Those tubes are probably someone else that cut cardboard tubes in half and Woven Roven over them for support..

I say let this one go myself .. I have be known to be wrong though.....

Well....I have to say... I agree with YD on this one. There is a LOT of damage on that boat to deal with. Major fiberglassing to be done. Not sure what your investment is bu I would be looking for some way to part it out, sell the trailer and recoup some of my money and look for another hull to restore. This one appears to be to be a VERY DAUNTING undertaking. But its your time and your money. If you decide to go forward I'm sure we will all do our best to help you get through all of the challenges that WILL be coming your way.

I agree, that looks pretty bad. I'm not seeing a whole lot worth salvaging on that rig.

kinda bummed out about the verdict. i really do appreciate the opinions but im going to at least try the repairs. i know its going to be alot of work and a pain in the neck but in your opinions are the repairs even possible. this is more of a project for me so im really in no rush to get on the water. i have to admit i love the tri hull design and this boat was made locally so i feel an attachment already.

As Yacht Dr. said this is a rather major repair, but if you want to go with, we're certainly here to help. You have a lot of grinding and faring in your future. Safety is very important here and we just want to make sure you have a safe boating experience.

Ninja...Please heed this advise..Dont bother with this boat.

I am a pro. I would not let you Give this boat to me in thinking that Even I would resto this.

It would cost me WAY too much money in Materials/Time for this resto to be close to even recouping my investment.

Your going to sink $$ into this boat m8.. and a lot of time..then more money..

You can pick up another one for 1/4 the cost and time.
