Hi, I have been quietly following your project once I read through the GT thread. My interest in Glastrons goes back to my teen years when I convinced my parents to buy me a 1969/1970 Glastron V156 we had so much fun tearing up the bay near Long Beach Island, NJ. I am sure this one will come out as good as the GT.

On a college football note I work for Rutgers University, in the past 4 years we have spent millions of dollars (not on raises for staff) on our now Big 10 programs and have nothing show for it but a beautiful stadium and brand new practice facility. We are really not good (56 to 0 against OSU). Not a fan of football but Go RU Scarlet Knights. LOL

Carry on with the resto

So, back to the 1900. Finished getting the rot out. I decided to more of a surgical approach instead of a full cut and gut. Got the tank out and then drilled samples until I found good wood. I know some wont agree with this approach, but that what I did.

Removed the rotten bulkheads and stringers... surprisingly the foam was not completed saturated.

Hey Cor, how goes it? Looks like you had fun with the boys! I have been taking engines apart also......just this one is out of Fuggly lol! However I did rationalize hotroding it a bit, wrapped up the head to ship off last night. I'm having the intake ports modified, larger valves put in, ported, polished....should breathe a lot better! Putting a bit more cam in also, to bad you cant do much with marine exhaust and intake manifolds......have contemplated a Holley self learning throttle body however. What was the car, it was kind of hard to tell other than it looked like a small block Chevy.

Nice work Cor! I did my ski pole that way on Miss Morgan, but I think Frisco also used that for his seats. I like to get the deck glassed in, then epoxy the wood to the deck and glass the tops side in. That way water can't get into the deck, if anything rots out it will just be the seat mount, which isn't near as big of a deal as replacing the deck. I never thought about steaming vinyl by the way, I have seen that done with leather.
