Second link doesn't work. it says item number wrong or listing removed. Is the vanilla for the insert or the perimeter?

I usually leave color selection to a woman (my wife) cuz I just don't seem to have a knack for it. That said, I think I would want to go with the original colors but that's just me. Great work so far. Keep it up.

Man, that is the most interesting cap I have ever seen.

Its always a struggle for me. The light colors, gut it seems like the are dirty 30 seconds after I put the boat in.....seems like someone always has a sandy / muddy foot and steps on them getting in. Dark colors of course can get a little toasty in the sun.....my searay had a burgandy stripe that you could fry eggs on. That is how I ended up with the metalic silver seats in miss Morgan. Have you looked at carpet or are you doing something else on the deck? I ordered my carpet from a company in GA, they were the only one's who would send me samples. I like the carpet, cool, and soft on the feet.

Blue paint to grey and white on the upholstery .. On the pic behind the tractor ,replace the cap paint with blue and thats pretty close to what it would look like depending on the shade of grey .. Maybe just a lighter shade of blue instead of grey on the seats .. originally the trim was the same color as the cap . I agree on changing the color a bit to give the seats some contrast . Whichever way I'm sure its gunna be sweet !

Exactly what I what I was thinking, thought darker grey would be too hot....there realy isnt much that gets carpet....Aprox 4 ft worth of the deck (only in the cockpit area and maybe the fwd area preometer to the ski locker hatch. What was the name of the carpet place you used?

The thought is just that, contrast to the blue.....also, if I open the door on a new challenger hellcat, the inside isnt blue...thats why I was thinking grey...But you might have a point....maybe a shy blue with vanilla inserts...Hmmm....

Not a lot, but any progress is good progress.....started filling holes and fairing gouges and deep scratches today. I forgot how much I enjoy resin in my arm/leg hairs!!!!

most of this on the outside will be sanded off.

Put little patches on the underside of holes to support the PB.

Have a great rest of your weekend!!

Not too much progress.....kids are back in school and brought home the petri dish of germs....the whole house need quarantined now....

Got tired of laying around, so got a bit of sanding, fairing and hole filling done today. Should be ready to shoot first coat of primer next weekend.

Let me bounce this off of you guys...I think my plan is to get the top ready for paint, build the ski locker hatch, build/upholster the cockpit seats, dash pads and bow seats/pads. Loose route wiring in the gunnel for speakers, bow light and horn. Then mate the top to bottom. Idea is to put off final paint as long as possible.

Have a great rest of your weekend!! Boomer Sooner!!

Any reason for not painting now ? I guess there would be less of chance of scratching things up if you do as you suggest ...

Sounds like a plan. Taping off with the cap on is not that bad soooo I'd say go for it!!

I painted mine first, but you could do it either way. I laid old bath towels on the side where I was getting in / out to protect it.Wood is right, shouldn't take to long to tape it off.

No boat action today, but one of my favorite other things to do.....

My Awesome little helper....

One pile down, 3 more to go.....there is just something satisfying about the sounds of 2 stroke chain saw, the smell of fresh split wood and a cool fall breeze......call me weird, but I love it!!!!

Have a great weekend All!!!
