It's a sign of water. I'd pull the manifold and find the source of that water. Could it be rain water?

If boat sat for long periods in a humid environment, might not be so bad

Yep not normal
Possible causes:
Engine not stored right, flame arrestor left off and rainwater gets in
Internal engine failure like a blown head gasket can allow water in the intake (this happened to mine)
Either one isn’t good…

Any water in the oil?
What’s it look like under the valve covers? Clean oil or milky like mixed with water?

Chris,
Most definitely it is rain water. When I purchased the boat the engine room cover was rotten and rain water was coming in the engine. Seems like rain water found its way inside the intake manifold through the throttle body.

If you know the source isn't within the engine (and it sounds like you do), I'd use a vacuum cleaner with a nice pointy nozzle, and a stiff brush... You may cause most problems than you solve by removing the manifold...

Ah well that’s better than the alternative
Don’t need to pull valve covers just remove the oil cap and look inside run you finger carefully over the inside of the cover (cold engine) & see what you see

Chris,
Did as you suggested and then reassembled...

Lou C,
Oil's colour seemed fine, the smell though... Is it possible to have a scent of petrol?

I succeeded communicating with the DLC using the paperclip and a led light....

Codes I got are: "12", "21" & "42"

Any translation?

it is possible to have gas (petrol) in the oil if fuel injectors are leaky and don't shut off when they should...
the codes, I'll let others famaliar with this system comment on....

Either should show close to 30, running or not. If the key turns ON and it goes to 30, but then immediately drops, then Reg is leaking. If memory serves there are no drippings with key ON, motor not running

Bummer on the Greece thing other then would be nice to see it some day :)
alldodge,
Connected the fuel pressure gauge, turned the ignition key and the gauge wrote 55 for one or two seconds and the stalled at 30. So I guess the pump and regulator are fine.

Some how I didn't get notified of the post Thursday

Pumps good but can't say the same for the Reg. The pump should be capable of producing 60 psi and with the gauge going to 55 it does.

The Reg should keep fuel pressure at 30 which its not doing that. It does bleed down, but it should never get above 30 in the first place. Remove the Reg and see if the screen under it is clogged

12 is ECM checks good
21 is TPS voltage high, so signal lead shorted to power
42 is IC grounded and or bypass open to ground

alldodge,
Thank you for your answer.
The gauge's pressure was indeed bleeding down slowly, but I think it was due to the banjos I used to connect the fuel hose. I used a towel and got wet with fuel right where the connection was.
I didn't know that the pressure should at no times reach more than 30psi, I guess the next thing to check is the regulator....
Kind regards
