Anyone going to the Minneapolis Boat Show this week? Looks like the show starts Wed night and goes through most the day on Sun. I heard they put together a parade this year. That’s the first one from what I remember. I believe it runs downtown tomorrow morning (Tues 1/16). Will be cool to see boats being towed through downtown with the recent snow.

I’m excited to check out the new feature they have at the show this year – “Bling My Boat.” I want to see what they did to that family’s boat. I read that they’ve put more money into fixing up the boat then the boat was even worth – should be pretty cool to see the final product.

Many of us here have done that.

Re: Look at boats

I'll be going on Thursday evening with my son. I usually go every year. I have no intention of buying a boat, seeing as I have my dream boat already!

It's still fun to gawk at the new rides and stuff I'll never be able to afford.

Enjoy the show... kind of weird time of year for a boatshow in Minneapolis isn't it?

Re: Look at boats

It's a week or two earlier this year for some reason.

I think it's a great time for a boat show. Granted, a lot of people aren't thinkng boats now, but the show gives us a reason to get out of the "no boating rut". It starts people thinking about the upcoming season and gives the dealers time to get new purchases squared away, ordered, and deliverd by the time the lakes thaw. It's a great excuse to talk boats when we can't use them.

upsizing to sportcraft 26 opinions?

upsizing to sportcraft 26 opinions?

A few years back i purchased a small offshore boat. I will be stepping up this year and i keep coming back to the sportcraft 26' walkaround. It suits me in size and is in the budget. It appears to be trailerable without too much trouble. Opinions?
