You may have something there. The fact that his wifes name was Kitty probably didn't help - Look Kitty Dukakis in the corner.Originally posted by Twidget:
The really neat part of the insult was that he was not a friend of Kennedy.

The Dukakis/Bentsen ticket would have had a better chance if the names were reversed.
Ok, now I see where your love of Bentsen comes from. You two are of the same ilk.

Lets look at what happened that night at the debate and see if you can understand why so many of us non-communists (communists=democrats, same thing) feel Bentsens comment was out of context with regard to Quayles answer. Anyone without their thinking unit firmly embedded in their rectal unit will notice how Quayle does NOT compare himself to Kennedy, only compares the simularity of their experience. Bentsens dumb-assed, out of context retort completely ignores Quayles experience and shoots an off-topic personal attack straight at Quayle himself. Note the question:

The question: BROKAW: And if you cite the experience that you had in Congress, surely you must have some plan in mind about what you would do if it fell to you to become President of the United States, as it has to so many Vice Presidents just in the last 25 years or so.

The answer: QUAYLE: ... I have far more experience than many others that sought the office of vice president of this country. I have as much experience in the Congress as Jack Kennedy did when he sought the presidency. I will be prepared to deal with the people in the Bush administration, if that unfortunate event would ever occur.

The dumb-assed comment: BENTSEN: Senator, I served with Jack Kennedy, I knew Jack Kennedy, Jack Kennedy was a friend of mine. Senator, you are no Jack Kennedy. ...

Stick around, Txswinner well get you straightened out before the next election.
Originally posted by txswinner:
You are quite amusing that his remark to Dan Quail who proved his inadequacey was simple told after comparing himself to JFK that "you sir are no Jack Kennedy," would be found as not correct in content.
I do all the time. The Democrat party in America IS the communist party. They are identical, one in the same, absolutely no difference between the two. I receive and read the official communist partys news, The Peoples World Weekly. I can tell you, there just isn't any difference between the Democrats and the pinko commie b@stards.

Anyone that is a member of the Democrat party that takes exception to being labeled a commie needs to either (a) get out of the Democrat/communist party, or (b) help re-align the communist so that they are even just a wee little bit different from the Democrats.

Note: Im not talking about the individual members of the Demcrat party; like Republicans, they come in all different flavors. I am speaking about the ideals of the DNC itself. It is a bright red star ... communist!Originally posted by Twidget:
PW2, please point out any time I have called a Democrat a communist. I dont think you will be able to.![]()
