My lake is Lake Houston,I can be on the water in under an hour, and it has a river ( San Jancitio ) for great water sports, when i feel the need to go to a larger lakes I head to the Texas Hill country. ( Lake Travis, Lake Buchanon, Cayon Lake ) and when i really like to travel, Lake Ozark and Lake Michigan

Got to say my own lake..however either of the two lakes clearer than Torch must be a something.

Gotta put in my pick for Flathead Lake, northwestern Montana, just south of Glacier Nat'l Park. Beautiful mountain scenery, LARGE lake trout & sturgeon. This is one of the largest, if not the largest, freshwater (natural) lakes west of the Mississippi - watch out for rough water though!

LAKE TAHOE!!! cold, stark beauty w/ naked show girls running around on the beaches on the nevada side of lake. clear water, sandy beaches, rocky coves to anchor in...snow in mountains trickles done to lake in summer...you need a big boat here as the wind picks up in late afternoon and can get rough quick!

Hey, did I miss something when I was there? Don't remember the naked girls and I have a photographic memory for that....
