My favorite lake would have to be Caddo in east Tx.

I have a soft spot for the local lake, Lake Nockamixon. Second would have to be black lake new york, not for the scenery but for the good fishin I have every time up. Third would be Lake wallenpaupack for the smallmouth fishin.

Lake Jocassee (SC/NC) has to be one of the best lakes in the South for fishing and general outdoor activities. Limited access and development, waterfalls where scenic wild rivers dump in, mountains all around, just great. It's also one of the clearest and deepest around (350 ft. I think), so they do a lot of diving in it as well.

Where is Lake Don Pedro? And why is it your favorite?

Potholes Reservoir, Eastern Washington State
Excellent walleye and bass fishing, good pan fishing (crappie, bluegill, perch), good trout and catfishing.

Lake Cumberland, KY. Nicest people, lots of deserted and private coves, good fishing... I could go on & on.
Spent 10 days at Jamestown Marina last year, can't wait to get back there
(How's that, Tim Frey??)

I'll second Lake Cumberland. Though I only have been to several lakes, it's among my favorites.

However, Lake Geneva up in Wisconsin is absolutely gorgeous and the town is as well. It is well worth the drive to that place. It's just north of Chicago past the Wisconsin/Illinois border. Go into Kenosha and head a bit west.

Also, I'm a fan of Lake Travis down in Austin, TX. Never boated there, but it is an extremely pretty lake.

I'm usually found at Cave Run Lake though. Just about 20 minutes down the road, so it's convenient. 8,270 and 48 miles long during the summer months according to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Great fishing there too if you find the right spots. Can't wait to be there this fall when the leaves start turning right there in the middle of Daniel Boone National Forest.

Take a look at some of the pics.

http://caverun.org/CaveRunLake_Pictures.htm

Exactly, jrl!
Hey, duffler2k, if you happen to see me out there, (white & blue over gray '97 19' Maxum bowrider

) give "The Truth" a holler on VHF 68 or just pull along side. Usually put in at the 79 boat ramp. We're often at the boater's beach at Onion Island (east, next to Lieb's Is.) and we usually grab a bite at The Island House. Always happy to meet a fellow iboat-er!
