Got into some smallies on my 2nd outing on the Snake River yesterday morning. Even the little ones are hard fighting. The first pic was the biggest and he came out of deep water, 14’ or so, which is why he’s so dark. I caught 3 out of the deep and 4 others on top water.
Nice! I fished the Snake at Hells Canyon in shallow riffles back in 1984 and caught my first Smallmouth there. Congrats! (y)

One of the first things a photographer learns is always check the background. After my mother in law passed we found this picture of her with one of her favorite Percheron draft horses. Yes there is a complete horse in the picture.

On our bucket list is a jet boat trip up to Hells Canyon dam. Next summer we’re gonna do it. I was watching some vids the other day and they were catching smallies and sturgeon on the way.

Watching the sunrise while out on the water is sweet.

Aaaah I love to see water like that ....like glass . Its the best for a water speed PB test 😁 ,but I do feel a but guilty blasting along and ruining it but it just so cool ,boat feels so smooth ,trimmed out as far as you dare, engine howling away , I sometimes take the cover off just so I can hear it better .....I love the sound of a motor really getting into it ......yeehaaa ! 😆😆
