Got into some smallies on my 2nd outing on the Snake River yesterday morning. Even the little ones are hard fighting. The first pic was the biggest and he came out of deep water, 14’ or so, which is why he’s so dark. I caught 3 out of the deep and 4 others on top water.

Nice! I fished the Snake at Hells Canyon in shallow riffles back in 1984 and caught my first Smallmouth there. Congrats!
