Another Florida reptile out for a stroll this morning ..
When I see such a snake in my yard, I try to push it along into the woods. Now if the snake is a rattlesnake (eastern or timber), copperhead, moccasin, or coral snake(which I have never seen ever), they get turned into a lot of real little size snakes...

WOW a really nice up close picture for sure. I honestly didn't realize they had such a mean looking hook on the end of their...beaks? Ouch!

Thanks. As he flew towards me and parked next to me, his wing tip hit the bill on my cap....

the white pelicans are starting to winter up here in TN.
I have to say, we had our first TWO male ruby-throated hummingbirds visit our feeder this week. I was wondering where they were. Usually they announce that they are back by buzzing our large breakfast window up real close as to say, where is the food! But this year they hadn't showed up and we wondering where they were. Well, they are back now! And just for info, the males arrive first followed later on by the females. And the males are the first to leave in the fall as well.

^^^ Way to go! Saw a couple of great fish while the tournament was wrapping up at the lake today.

i love running back up creeks.
That's actually Hole in Wall Island on Percy Priest. Water is 80' deep where we are just off the shore. You can get the boat up the channel just a little before it shallows up on you. I've paddled through to the other side, which is kind of fun.

People anchor off this island all summer and the more adventurous swim over and jump off the cliff into the water.

We had a goat out on Priest for quite a while. I haven't seen him in years, but he was on the island over by Poole's Knob.

We had our first today here in the center of Pennsylvania. My wife had been looking for them for a couple of days now and marks the calendar every year when she expects them and they were right in the week she had marked.
