Yeah we are now on our second hatching of Blue birds for this spring in our blue bird house on our front porch. And if you open the door, they go to squalling for food. Nature is amazing if you allow yourself to see it!

Well, checked on them a couple days later and they are gone. I guess a critter had a snack.

Interesting comment about those little birds. Last evening I happen to look out the front porch window and there was a snake trying to reach the bird house but was too short to get to it. It was about two feet long, but about thin as a pencil. Since it wasn't a poisonous variety, I let it go sine it was returning to the ground. Not sure it could even eat one of the baby birds as thin as it was.

But also yesterday, I saw a lot of birds flying around the blue bird house and a lot of action going on. So when I looked out, three adult blue birds were fighting off some other bird from getting to the bird house. Seems life as a bird has it's real problems that unless you are privy to it, seems like everything goes along smoothly...

well we have a critter thats been living under our shed for the last few years, it apparently is only nocturnal so thinking possum or armadillo, only one of which would climb. The tree sits right next to the shed. Rarely see snakes around.

This is a weed.

Seems we have a lot of animals that are trying to get to the baby blue birds in our front porch bird house. This morning out of the blue there was a cat sitting on teh banister looking up at the bird house. I scared that cat off. So between other birds, a snake and now a cat, baby blue birds have a rough time even getting to the point to fly. Life is hard in the baby blue bird's life...

Here is a little friend that comes and visits us occasionally.

We've got so many rabbits this year ... and they are almost fearless. They sit right in front of you munching on the lawn and lookin' at you like, "hey, can we get more of the clover?"

Just had some babies pop out of a burrow we didn't realize was there.

We would probably have a lot more rabbits and chipmunks, but we also have a heavy population of red tailed hawks as well. We see a few of each throughout the months, but I'm sure the hawks are plenty full. Especially with the overwhelming numbers of squirrels too.

I have a wabbit problem also ..
Unfortunately my Outside dog Buddy passed away last night . He used to keep the rabbits in check but he lost a step the last few years and couldn’t catch em anymore ..
He was a good dog ...
