Is it possible to rent boat lifts to do painting? Like I said I am completely new to boating, but I can do a nice paint job.

Also the boat has some river scum on it what do you recommend cleaning it with as to not use anymore elbow grease than is necessary?

Can you get closer pictures of the boat and the interior? If the motor runs great I would say you got a pretty good deal. The trailer is worth a few bucks also.
I don't know if you have seen this thread. But its the most resent rebuild and you might get some idea what your in for.
