You know the story, went from short shaft to long. Anyways, this is what I came up with.

I don't weld and the aluminum was from a shelving unit behind my work. Only thing I bought were the bolts and the composite decking. Might add some bracing, but it feels pretty stout. Hope it works out, well see when it's time to mount!
