Scoutabout, In the background of your second pic their are some boats parked on land and a trailer parked in the water. ??

Ha -- yeah, what a crazy lake. The water levels can rise and fall ten feet easy over the course of a couple of weeks due to the fact that at least three rivers run into that lake and only one runs out (the Magnetewan on its way to Georgian Bay)
All it takes is a week or so of good rains...

And, of course, ten vertical feet can mean 30-40 or more of lateral shoreline lost. That trailer used to be parked way back from the water... Also note the trees abeam of the boat. And see that boat fender in the first Scout photo? It's tied to a piece of rope about 3 feet long, which is attached to the launch ramp donation box which itself is about the size and height of a city newspaper box. Diving for dollars anyone? d

That shelter you have looks interesting. Is is a kit? I'm looking for something cheap and prefab that can take more wind and snow load than those canvas ones you see that people sometimes keep their cars and boats in.

My first boat. 1990 Forester 151 Phantom. Only 15' bowrider with 70 hp Evinrude but we have fun with it.

Sometime's life works in very funny way's, I had been restoring a 93 Starcraft, took her out for it's first water trial and blew the upper unit. I was in so far already i couldn't go back so i took her to a marina to be repaired and of course crying on the there back's about my misfourtune the manager smiled and looked at me saying life is not that bad, i just found a boat that has been lost (sitting wrapped in a storage facility) in inventory for 5 year's and i have no idea on just exactly how to deal with the issue. Well about a hour later i was a owner and couldn't be happier, with both the boat and Wellcraft (Fantastic customer support) and of course the marina..

Wow, there are a lot of very unique crafts here! Here is "Dodgy Boat"...named for my favorite Allan Holdsworth tune...for those that are into the fusion genre...

She's a 1963 Duratech Neptune 16 foot runabout. Lightweight and she flies with the Merc 60 I tell ya...
