Hey Reel, how did all that stuff fare with Katrina? Hope the pics were AFTER the incident.

The boat cover in the pic is a replacement after the storm. The origional actually made it thru the storm in one piece but was leaning over at about a 20*-30* angel. The tracker suffered no damage. The Chaparral had to have new tops and curtins. :%

So sad, the BayBashers are everywhere. I was going to get a Maxum just to avoid them yet the dealer said it would be a 3 grand diff.
I splashed on some new graphics and I will be changing out the "BOX" windshield for a low profile - tinted, plexy one like on QC's boat ( Wayne-Earl mfg. . . makes 'em for carrera, hallett etc. ) and adding on a swim platform later. Afterwards, It will still be less expensive (not cheap) than anything else, no one will know it's a Bay and it will look better than most other 18 foot runabouts. . . I hope!

I'd just get over the Bayliner bashers, besides Bondo's awright . . .

Here's what I think you're talking about on my friend's Chaparral 236 SSi:

Don't forget you're gonna need front bimini straps now. He and the dealer who put them on both did . . . :}

Personally, I wouldn't change them because you lose the ability to close off the bow for bad/cold weather. They do look good though . . . 8)

Yep, thats exactly it. Did he use Wayne-Earl? http://www.wayneearl.com/prod.htm
I already thought about the Bimini straps and know where they will mount. I don't like the verticle angle on the Chap straps and will use more of a 45degree, but I do like the look of the windscreen. It seems like a new trend with latest Crownlines and Larsons. I use this for family river boating in the summer and don't venture out in the winter. I just hate those big glass plates on my boat and the top frame is always directly in my field of view.

Dealer did it, so I'm not sure who manufactured them . . . Agree on the top frame and no need at "the River". Ohhhhhh, already starting winter withdrawals, and we may even go again this season. Ahhhhhhh!!

2005 Glastron SX 170 with a 150 Merc XR6. Very, very fast and powerful. Its a great boat. P.S. The dates are from mid-2005 or later...not 2002. the camera date was off.

Okay, heres mine. Another ugly. 1974 Lund VFR-15. 15 foot fish n ski. It is on a much nicer trailer now (homebuilt) but I don't have pics of it though. It has been stripped and now has new foam and a deck and peices of the console have been cut out for a test fit. Engine (1971 50 hp Johnson) has been mounted. Will try to post more up-to-date pics soon. Those were the pics that the dealer had on the website. It had been sitting under a tree for a year so ot had a huge hole in the deck and had numerous leaes and acorns. Hull was in great condition though with only one dent.
