Re: Is there ever a GOOD bayliner?

i have a 86 14 footer. it rides really nice and it was what i could afford. i took two years fixing the floors and such part time. i have three kids, one that plays travel ice hockey, tier ll. the other two play roller hockey two nights a week. i am a self employed plumber so time is very precious. when taking on a project assume its going to take a long time unless you have a forgiving family. no im not done, still need to do a little work around the interior of the bow, and figue out if i want to put cushions on the bow.
i can do 35 mph per gps, with two kids, my fat butt, 12 gallons of gas, two downriggers, trolling motor, two group 27 batteries, cooler, drinks and a huge 50 pound tackle box. boat is a ob, mercury classic 45hp. its not pretty but it gets the job done. transom is rock solid!

Re Bayliner boats
am not sure why people are so against bayliners
i bought a new 18 ft bow rider with a merc 135 out
board in 1990 kept it for 23 yrs repairs I steering cable.
went to a 19 ft blue water after that nice boat but way to heavy
went back to a 195 Bayliner bow rider great boat
they all have there problems , but look what’s out on the lake , mostly Bayliners.
larsons can’t seem to keep there floors from rooting
grady whites have the same problem with there
transum. I have now owned bayliners for 27 yrs
so am not a new boater and truth be told I won’t
look at any other brands now
