identify this boat

I have purchased this project boat to restore and use a be used as a fresh water mariana runabout. The registrattion states 1967 and Manufacture is listed as RUNABOUT.

I have not been able to locate a manufacturing company called RUNABOUT. I wonder it over time someone just entered RUNABOUT and the clerk types it in. I have not found any manufactures plate...yet. The PO was told it was built by a local company that went out ou business in 1970.

Runabout is a STYLE, not mfg. LOTS of mfg back in the 60's that did not make it. Where are you located? You might post on Fiberglassics.com and see if they know.

I had to get new tires on the trailer and while waiting I had 3 different people stop and comment on the boat. It was made by Davidson Marine in Yuma AZ from early 60s to 1970 when they went out of business. One guy said grandfather was a dealer and gave me some information based on hie childhood memeories. It seems these were called "custom boats"

Still looking for anyone that would have more information.
