I am new to the forum so please be patient with me lol. I am the new owner of a 1970 stuery 16 ft runabout. I replaced the deck on it and being an auto body guy am confident in the job I did... however after pulling up the old deck I noticed there were no drain holes through the stringers to the bilge to allow the hull to drain. I replaced the deck anyway without drilling any holes. I am sort of regretting that decision but it has been glassed and too late to do now. My question is I would like to put 3 holes in my deck, over the 3 sections of the hull so that I can inspect for water and pump it out if it gets water in it. Is this a good idea and if so, do they make a kit for it. Maybe something. that is flush mounted and maybe 2" in diameter.
