picked up 2 more this weekend, a 12' finwick for $15 and put a penn reel i gave a $1 for on it. a 5-6' otasco rod and reel made by zebco $2, both in good shape. My wife said do you realy need those? but, hey it's my lunch money anyway!

I picked up a new Mitchell Nautil 6500 Pro and a 7ft lighting stick this weekend. got that baby rigged and ready to go! But I'm stuck in the dag-um office

I've got 3 off-shore poles for fishing from the Nassau sound bridge and trolling for stripper's. Then there's another 10-12 between the boat and shed. If you count the bush hooks I've got use ,It would be another 25 or 30.

I have more than 11 (as the web-site listed)! Only some of them are missing guides or ceramic inserts in the guides. If I could learn to tie guides, maybe I wouldn't have to buy new rods so often.

I followed this for some time now....about a month ago, I found 4 rods at the shop in the office that I had somehow forgot about...?????<br /><br />I seen posted above someone had 83 rods...wow!<br />I got to doing some counting and found that only counting rods with reels, I have about 75. I DO guide some, so this may not be a fair count...

Its a little Japaneese guy named Okuma that stands on the fore-grip of your rod and counts the amount of line you have let out on your reel using an ancient method that involves three bamboo sticks, a grain of rice and an orange flavored life-saver..<br /><br />*note the box .. He's pretty small.<br /><br />

Well Barlow. You had me stumped. I had to google it to see if you were pulling my leg couldn't believe my eyes. I honestly have never seen one before in my life. I always guestimate the depth of my line but then again, I mostly fish shallow waters in the bay. When we do go offshore once I get past the trigger fish, it's all the way to the bottom for the Snappers and that could be 80 feet or so but I usually have a fish on before it gets there.<br /><br />You learn something new everyday. Thanks.

<br /><br />sorry for the sarcasm LadyFish .. I thought i was giving it back.. being the angler you are I ASSUMED differently. Pardon.. my bad.<br /><br />yea its the reels LF .. I've had great results from them so I'm partial to Okuma brand with their line counters. I've wanted a pair of 10' diver rods for L.Michigan trolling since I got rid of my big boat. Plan is to run these ahead of my 8' diver rods to more efficiently get the baits to the outside of the 8' rods when resetting lines after a fish/bait change or false trip.<br /><br />again ... pardon the sarcasm .. I'm an idiot.

Really not sure how many I have? would say about 20 or so. My favorite however are my 4 saltwater trolling rods/reels. They havent seen the ocean in neary two years but they are still fun to have. Maybe this year?
