I think I have around 5-8 rods, 2 tackle boxes and only 1 gun. <br />And not like JB, I don't have a wife to limit me <br />At least not yet....but that makes me think...hmmmm.

well, lets see, looks like ten rods, plus one that belongs to my brother and two bluegill sized rods for the kids. Only five guns, but am storing another ten of my brother's. <br /><br />I just point o my wife's knitting needle arsenal, and that usually sorts out THAT conversation pretty quick. her knitting needle assortment makes me look like an amateur!<br /><br />I just count my blessings that I'm not a fly fisherman too...

Looking at my tackle box today and noticed that i have more lures than bass pro shops and i really use about 20 of them .He who dies with the most lures, WINS.!

UPDATE: I only have 3 1/2 rods now. Broke 1 the other day. Now I have one for casting in heavy tree overhang.

Some ladies go for purses my daughter had 14 pairs of tennis shoes by the back door before I put mine down . I tell the wife mines' fishin poles. quit counting at 16 ,and don't start on ice rods . I get into cabelas and as soon as I start looking I can't help myself.

When our local K-mart closed I went there and bought four(4)of their rod show stands.Each holds 10 rods,but I need another saltwater trolling rod...

unlike dingbat my "wife" has a habbit of "collecting" dvd's and vhs movies...have you ever tried to figure the monies involved with that? my simple collection of 7 fishin' rods cant compare with her collection of 1500 movies (@ 5.00 each average) so she cant complain.

My wife never complained abot the number of rods - just that they looked messy leanin' in the corner. So, I built a rack around one corner of the garage to hold them all (14 at the time). Recently she noticed that I have more rods than holders. Uh Oh! Her only comment. "It looks like you'll have to build another rack." Gosh, I love my wife. Ithink I'll keep her - and build another rack! BTW I do use them all for various reasons. Ice fishing is another whole corner in the basement. As long as it is neat, No problem.

Well i'm just lucky i guess. My girlfriend loves going fishing all the time. so she understands the "i need a new rod and reel" thing. Together we have about 22. All sorts, ultralights, bass, & cat poles. I think i'm gonna start working on some saltwater reels now.

Well...let's see.<br /><br />There's the 5 current favorites for smallmouth, the ultra-light for panfish, the telescoping ultra-light for camping, 6 for guests & kids, 4 in various states of disrepair/disuse, 4 saltwater (kept at Margate, NJ sister-in-law's), 4 saltwater (kept at Sebastian, FL in-laws'), plus the 6 or 8 my Dad just gave me with the boat.<br /><br />That comes to...31 or 33. Hmmm, I think I need to go shopping.<br /><br />BTW, two of the rods my Dad gave me are pretty cool. One is a 7' Heddon with a Mitchell 300 that's at least 40 years old. The other must be an original Ugly Stick as it has a brushed aluminum reel seat (also rigged with a Mitchell 300). Both are in perfect working order!

Not nearly enough. I have 2. Ones an ultralight spinner and the other is a 6' medium with a Zebco 33. I gave my baitcaster to her dad a few years ago so I'll be replacing that soon. I'd like to have a few more. It's funny... I took her fishing today and she was commenting on how often I was switching lures and how that cuts into my fishing time. I told her "Baby, I know how to fix that..."

IT IS THAT TIME OF YEAR I REALLY LOVE. YUP, MY BIRTHDAY.
