i am at the process of reinforcing the bow deck and also the cabin roof, i can stand on the bow deck with no worries, but i will be putting a plastic anchor well in there and am afraid i will lose strengh once i cut the template out, how can i keep the strengh there.

also i would like to re glass the roof of the cabin, is it best to grind down to gelcoat from the inside of cabin, (it feels like the wood inside it delaminated as i can see through some wholes the the glass, gell coat and timber and together (solid piece), they have seperated. i was going to grind fron the inside though the glass and timber, cut out a new piece of timber and glass it in with 4 layers of CSM and then flow coat the inside roof (not worried about look on inside as i am going to carpet the internal cabin.) will this be the best way to do it..

the boat is a 5.3metre caribbean crestcutter
