Help Identifying Boat

Picking this boat up Thursday for a great deal, engine runs good but cannot find what model, it's 16ft open bow. Any info would help.

Reach out to your local Michigan registration office.

you will need either the title of the boat or the prior owners signed registration slip AND a bill of sale to get it registered in your name.

that information will have the HIN, and the first 3 letters of the HIN are the MIC code

The HIN was required after 1972, the MIC after '84

Curious boat indeed.
What is that horizontal ridge on the transom?? Looks almost like a welded seam on a riveted boat!?
Very geometric/angular splashwell cut out. Definitely seems pretty unique.
If it's a pre 72 and assigned a HIN it could be anywhere (or nowhere) due to it often being the owners obligation to place it correctly.. I found one that wasn't in any of the normal locations behind the motor's control box. Couldn't see it at all without unbolting.
