Re: Good Boat names

i named my boat draggin my johnson due to the fact that a place that i love to fish is sometimes very shallow and the motor will scrape the bottom from time to time. The boat is aluminum and the motor is a johnson 40 hp
have the same problem the missus reckons and it's got nothing to do with boats:D

The cuddy I have now is named "OM"
The pontoon we had for a while was appropriately named "Flirtin' Wet Disaster"

Re: Good Boat names

Living up in northern Minnesota, we named our Bayliner Capri "THIN ICE

We get it out as early as we can, before the lake is completely clear of ice.

My Son and I are long time Brooklyn/LA Dodger fans, & have great 3 daughters & good wife, therefore my 'toon is, "Four Beaches", in bright Dodger Blue! No dis-respect meant to the ladies of course!

Re: Good Boat names

I searched for my boat for two years. 400 mile ratios. Ended up finding it 20 miles from my house!!.......So " 'bout time" fit perfect.

Re: Good Boat names

After taking a trip on a particularly rough water day with some female friends a great boat name just came to me! Titty Jiggler ;) Needless to say I didn't mind the rough water that day:) The wife isn't too fond of that one though. I ended up naming it Water Hazard which fits my love of golf.

Re: Good Boat names

I just picked up an '87 Sylvan from Lake of the Woods area. The poor ol' dear was a fishing camp boat for years and is in pretty rough shape (cosmetically) so being a ratty old boat on the prairies and me being a person of no pretence I thought I would name her Pond Scum .... strange that name isn't taken LOL!

Re: Good Boat names

Our big cruiser is called "Dulcis Vita". (The Good Life) That'a a "real" boat that the whole family uses.

My little 13 1/2 ft. tinny with the antique 9.5 Evinrude is little and just a beater, so its not a "Real" boat. ITs named "Toy Boat".

Re: Good Boat names

Wanted a Harley Davidson Road King bad...wife would have nothing to do with that then this sweat deal on my boss's hardly ever used boat came along and she made the mistake of saying she would go for this boat if I drop this Harley business.

"My Harley Floats" was born

Re: Good Boat names

:) About 47 years ago I built my first boat, an 11 foot Moth class one design sailboat. Built it from plans in "Popular Mechanics". Had just been married & built it in my father-in-law's garage. Named it "Cecropia" because a Cecropia is a giant moth. In time, two other sailboats became Cecropia 2, and Cecropia 3. Latest boat (new to me last year) is a 14 foot Sylvan set up for bass fishing. The wife/first mate/crew didn't think another Cecropia was appropriate. So after some (limited) consultation, she(we?) named it "Fish Tank".

:D:DJust not sleek enough to be another Cecropia..........:D:D

Re: Good Boat names

We have decided on naming ours CRAZY BEACHES.

I designed the graphic, and if anyone needs inexpensive boat names done on the Gulf Coast of Florida, my graphics guy here in town does vehicle wraps, so he's only charging me like $25 or so for a 30" by 5" full color vinyl graphic.

I priced it 2 places online- one was $95, and one was $52.
