Yeah still winter here in Minnesota. I have all the parts to tune up the ski boat, ready to start buffing and cleaning. Figure it will be 6 more weeks before I bring the boat home and start working on it.

you know the 4 seasons of Minnesota are Near Winter, Winter, Still Winter and Bad Sledding. Where in Wisconsin, it was June, July, August, and Winter

If you really want to buff and clean a boat, feel free to come on down. will feed you all the beer you can drink while buffing my boat..... LMAO

I’ve been working on my boat off and on for the last five months. Probably 200 hrs. Just a few little things left. It’s an awesome boat.

I just need the water to rise so I can get the boat in the lake. The ice is breaking up on the main channel, but the coves are still iced over. Water from last summer and fall drought still has the water too low to launch. But ... water has risen 3 feet in the last 4 days. That is a good sign! A few more days and it could be time to launch!

Summer in the Northland: Just 6 weeks of bad sledding.

All seriousness aside ... On the positive side of our short but glorious boating season up North - if the season was 12 months, I don't think I could afford to be a boat owner. The winter months give my boat budget time to recover.

No Spring work for me. I only maintain in the Fall just before deer season.

My annual procedure is to fill up the gas tank just before I back her in the garage. Half the morning to change the fluids, and the afternoon to polish the upholstery and hull. The corner of the cover is easy to pull over to charge the battery once a month. The next day I do the other boat. When Spring comes the cover can be pulled in a few minutes, and then all I have to do is back the car in the garage.

Last week was the annual boat show, and next week is the Fishing & Sports Expo. With that behind us Summer can't be far away.

Registration and the fishing license for the boat license arrived over the weekend.

Upper 60's to mid 70's the next 10 days.
Should have boat up and running by this weekend.

Gives me two weeks to get her cleaned up and to get the tackle back onboard and organized to met my third week in March splash date.
