Gas tank trouble on my Mako

I recently bought a Mako 17 that had sat around for a while. The gas tank is extremely dirty inside. It runs great for awhile then shuts down with a clogged filter. It has a small inline filter under the cover and I added an inline cartridge filter also. It put me down again and when I checked the filter it was really dirty. I have removed my console to get to my tank. Its a 35 gal tank located under the console in the center. It's in a compartment filled with foam. I got the float out and pumped all the gas out. I put in more gas and washed it around inside the tank and pumped it out. I can't seem to get it clean inside. I've thought about removeing it but I'm finding it very hard to get out. Does anyone now a good way to clean it without removing or an easy way to get it out. Any help would be appreciated

Don't know how to get it out, but if you do, take it to a radiator shop and have them boil it out. It'll be like a new one.
