Re: Funny "TLC needed" boat ads on Craigslist.
I too look through Craiglist and of course ebay. With all the boats being re-posessed in Florida and elsewhere here in the Atlantic coast, it's a buyers market. You can about just walk into anything that you think you can make payments on. My particular boat is given attention or 'tlc' about every day. It is a Stingray 17.5 so its fairly quick, never the less it gets about an hour a day being wiped down and cleaned or polished, but.....big but....I'm retired, so that affords me the time and interest.
Alot of boats are put away wet untill the next outing, probably half get rinsed out, both motor and hull, along with a good shop vacuming inside. It's just the nature of the beast I think. In my opinion theres alot of boats that are 'throw-away' in the sence that there's no entrensic value nor are they clasic in any way, along with being marginal at best when new. We'v all drove past peoples boats out in the field or next to the garage, all :redface:in different phases of deterioration, ultimatly destined for the trash heap.
