I know this is a bold statement but I think of the 6000+ posts on this thread this one might be the best:

Police say Iowa man tried to trade sex for a boat trailer | WQAD.com

An Iowa man is accused of posting an offer on Craigslist to give sex in exchange for a boat trailer.

Stan Syring, 37, of Clarence, met with an undercover Marion, Iowa Police officer who responded to his Craigslist ad Tuesday, March 4, 2014.

The two met the following Monday, March 10, and agreed to an undisclosed sex act in exchange for Syring getting a boat trailer.

Then Syring was arrested.

Court records show Syring was charged with one count of prostitution, which is an aggravated misdemeanor.

Jail records say he was booked and later released from the Linn County Jail.

geee ... I am confused.....most times, you get screwed automatically when you purchase used boats and boating related gear....

I have no doubt that it has already happened. As a matter of fact bondo posted one a few pages back. Based on how brutal this thread is towards these ads I doubt many people volunteer that they are the poster for one of these ads.

Interestingly enough, the SS Minnow currently resides at the Schooner Cove Marina in Nanoose Bay, BC. The boat has been completely refurbished and was recently featured at the Vancouver Boat show, along with Dawn Wells, better known as MaryAnn.

^^^ yep........... I'm fairly fond of the 'sellers' text too:

Interior needs work, deck needs work, prop needs work. Includes dock lines, and anchor. The engine may need a tune-up. Last ran for three hours, but hasn't run for decades. Boat is well stocked with all sorts of provisions & supplies.

Carries 7, needs hull work. Remote island location, U pick up.

You can't beat this deal, this is everything needed to go boating this summer, maybe even start a tour business.

Don't have the time or materials to work on it, just too busy getting by.
