heres a fun one:

Hello craigslist I have a nice 1990 Maxum 26 FT boat
Has nice 350 murc-cruise motor comes with trailer
Boat runs great has low miles very quiet no problems what so ever if I get my asking price I will get a whole new cover for it and get all interior redone

Will send more pics upon request

interestingly as soon as i saw the pic, before I read anything, I was wondering if people just drive by and take pics of other peoples boats and try to scam off that. This could be a candidate for that.

I like the fact that it has low miles on it. That HAS to be worth something!

My current boat is a fishing rig. Only 1/2 season under my belt with it so I have only a couple of pics of it from when I bought it. It still has the wooden frame to hold up the tarps in the picture I have.

Anyways, because the boat is not wife and kid friendly the only pics it will be seen in will be mostly me holding a big fish with a little blue carpet in the background.

My previous Chris Craft open bow was only specifically photographed for the sale of it. Before that only family pictured that didn't really show the boat well existed.
Note that I cleaned the boat and took good clear pictures. No leaves, you can see the interior, and you can even see the condition of the Gel coat. To all craigslist posters, "It's not hard to post a usefull ad". There were probably 5 more pictures in the ad. This was for a boat I was asking $500 for because it needed the bellows done, cover restitched, and a few other odds and ends.

Does this guy understand that when the boat is sold he can't use the money to fix the boat up? It's a little too late for that.:facepalm:

I just couldn't resist. For "a little legwork" you can title this baby with the "best running cracked block engine I've ever seen".

98 caravalle selling as complete boat or parting out

Wow this guy is really something... Parts donor with sky high prices? Great, best, pristine, mint everything boat?

"these caravelle boats were made of 100% fiberglass no wood core in seats or floor, its a super solid boat. Has approx 190 hours on boat motor, drive and even less on trailer."

16 year old boat without wood and an hour meter on the trailer!

Something odd about the way he took the pictures too.

I think it's a re-post of a previously listed boat, I even remember the trailer winch post setup & cracked block, and commented on the trailer not looking too bad when it made this list last time. Last time it only had 1 rear 3/4 view of the boat, perhaps trying to show pix that should have been w/ the last ad?
Hmm, this 1 seems to hit all the marks of an appropriate ad for this thread:
not sure of year:

{image no longer available**

After posting this ^^^ pix, it does seem to be sitting on a decent trailer...............

So many things wrong with this ad, to start he wants $1,000 for a blown outboard motor.

2 We have the wrong cowling on the engine because the boat is only rated for a 150hp
3 Gotta love the fact the reason he is selling is to lighten the load so that his trolling motor will move the boat better, NOT the fact that the engine has bad compression on two cylinders

Crazy. That is the price for one in great condition.

If and mind you I say "IF" the motor only needed something along the lines of a hone and a re-ring that would be a good price for a 235 HP outboard. Not that I'm the guy willing to take that risk.
