So, the red bikini top comes with two extra large bumpers? Interesting... I suppose they're red because the top hasn't been used much.

I usually don't beach my boat quite like that. I plow the bow into the sand but the gunnels aren't covered in sand. I guess the lucky purchaser gets to put her on the trailer after a little shovel work. :faint2::eek::facepalm:

I think I saw that rig a the flea market today. And yep, it's got fleas.

It could also be easily converted into a compost bin.

At some point, way back when, that boat would have been incredibly sleek & good looking. Too bad when bad owners happen to cool boats.

Could probably still be a truly dedicated~real speed freak's dream......

The Left hand drive on the boat is kind of cool, don't see that often in a boat. Dads cousin had one that looked like that back in the '70s, and he took me out in it, I can't remember the HP he had, but I remember it would haul *****, and it scared me!

Port helms used to be very popular on the Colorado River go fasts. Most jet boats were setup that way, as they were mo betta for a throttle pedal. Maybe the OB was setup the same way for the same reason. Pedal.

It looks a little like my former neighbor's Skater 18, from the early 1980's Hard to tell without a 200hp Merc Black Max hanging on the back. (Yeah, it was FAST!)
It that "haul" wasn't all rotted, that could be an interesting project boat for sure. He'd only have to pay me $100 to "hull" it away!

I've heard that racing boats would have port side steering to make cutting close to the buoys easier. Even if that boat wasn't raced the owner would probably have a Walter Mitty fantasy about it.

I had seen a few boats out there with the "Left hand drive" but like QC stated they were usually on jet boats. I always was told the standard "Right side" was done to counteract the prop turn so if there was only one person on board it would help keep the boat level, I don't know for sure though.

Me too ^^^^^ But there is also the story that "starboard" equals steering board as all rudders were on the right side for right handed people prior to steering wheels.
