It's amazing, but in the Smokies everything is "jest over the ridge and a quarter mile or so..."

This one's funny, I just wish I could read all of it
1971 Cobia
1) Girls love a guy with a boat!
2) Guys with boats can automatically grow awesome beards!
3) Girls love taking their clothes off as soon as they get in YOUR boat!
4) Big fish love a cool boat and swim around looking for them!
5) You get to wear an awesomely, manly Captains hat!
6) Its been documented that guys with a boat have better love lives! (The scientists believe its the hat)
7) The size of a man's boat is often equated to the size of his..... Generous nature.

The speech balloon says something to the effect of "Ever since I got my Cobia, I've been a regular chick magnet! They really dig the beard, AND now you can get a titanic deal! Call now and start your beard today!

..or something like that. :D

Not unless I win the lottery tonight (not in it, so it's extremely unlikely I'll win it :cold:) so I can grab that 40 acres, pole barn & a mule.

Then maybe.

A really unlikely maybe: I am OFFICIALLY, 2 boats over the limit w/ SWMBO (keeper of the warm & ready frying pan) and really more like 3+ boats over the limit.

Although later in May I will be down near Charleston, in the company truck (with a trailer hitch).....

Then again, it's 'only' 2 & 1/2 hrs away........

Wait?!

What's your limit?

I talked my wife into a limit of 2 keepers, one cuddy and one fishing/play. :D

^ lol

When ever someone starts giving me a hard time, I always tell them this
"Wait, you can't talk to me like that, I have a boat!"

It's funnier for them if they know me and stuff....

Officially the Admiral has the limit set at 1.

Against common wisdom, I happen to have a differing opinion....

Hmmm, a 2 keeper limit? The Jet must just be a 'running around NOW' place holder until you finish the Nova? Since your sig line lists 3 boats, you're over your limit too...

So, might as well fess up:
Plywood knock-down canoe/kayak
1960 Glastron FireFlight
1963 SC Jet
1960 Glastron FireFlight parts boat
196? SC Jupiter
197? SC Holiday
1974 SC Jet

The 1st Jet & the Jupiter are not sticking around long term..... Nor is the parts Glastron...

I may have a problem.... Not a boat problem, more like a time, money & space problem........

Yeah I have the same space problem, but I do have some nooks I can plug the sprinklers off and allow the grass to die if needed

I'm just glad I bought a house with a big cement pad in the backyard, I can park 3 boats side by side on it, and if needed I can park 3 more infront (I think the wife would leave me at that point unless they were rolling in $$).

The Jet is officially holding a place of the unfinished Nova, but I pretty much told my wife I need to decide what one I like better before I sell one off + the Jet is the only boat that floats right now

Mostly my wife is only worried about what the neighbors think and the $$ spent, and honestly they are fine with it as long as they don't have to look at a mess every day, and they have been getting a kick out of seeing a POS roll in, and a pretty boat roll out.

Downside is that we live in a cul de sac, all neighbors face eachother and I have never had a complaint yet... yet being the key word ;)

+ she knows when I spend a big wad of money, for a week or two we are eating hotdogs and ramen noodles

The price is right on this wooden boat:

16' Wooden Boat

I really think all he needs is a bit of gas and a match.

I like the way he cleverly stated that the boat was free...BUT...the trailer and outboard will cost you... Wonder if somebody actually went there and just wanted the boat what he'd do... I am also surprised he didn't you those clever words it is a "Project Boat"... That is usually thrown in on so many of those CL listings... :pound:

When anyone lists a "project boat" it's kind of like buying a "fixer-upper" house. (= money pit)

Rare, valuable antique and they don't make like this any more are also missing. He also forgot the all important words "ran great the last time out" $500 might be a bit much for the trailer and motor, both with questionable parentage, so to speak.

This one is awesome: A "project" houseboat with dented pontoons, a non-running motor, a porta potty and some really crappy furniture. $5,000, firm. Annnnnnd, it needs TLC
