TRI-HULL w/ TILT TRAILER

14-1/2 ft fiberglass Renken tri-hull bow-rider w/ tilt trailer. The 1973 boat needs some work. There are no leaks or problems with the hull or major problems, except for a soft transom. The front cutting edge needs reinforced (it is worn but doesn't leak.) Carpet is old but still usable; but should be replaced. The boat will need new seats. The transom will need to be repaired or at least reinforced. The trailer (also registered as a 1973 model) is a heavy-duty tilt trailer. The trailer needs a jack; trailer needs paint in several spots but is otherwise sound. Trailer does have spare wheel and tire. The trailer alone is probably worth the asking price of $400. Titles to both boat and trailer. Boat is registered until 2014. NO MOTOR. Tires seem serviceable (I drove it to WV from VA) but they are full of dry-rot and will have to be replaced soon. I will put new lights on so it can be driven on the highways. Trailer without boat is $450; save money and buy both for $400. Will consider trade for aluminum flat-bottom jon boat with a wide beam . . . I can pay cash difference if any. This would make a nice boat for a small family, stable, strong, relatively shallow draft, roomy inside yet not too large. The wooden framework on the top, and plywood over the front, are supports for tarps to keep water and dirt out so we can work on it.

Interesting ad. Trailer (sounds like it needs work) for $450, Take my trash boat too and I'll knock $50 off. Aw, the "hardtop" is only a work cover, darn.

Finally - A boat for sale and the trailer alone isn't worth the asking price. LOL Wait - He's keeping the trailer, boat/motor only!

Ahhh, but the motor is a 25 y/o non-running Merc that appears to have spent it's entire life in salt water...never mind.:faint2:

It's an O.E. manufactured, high thrust elephant eared prop specifically for the Bravo 2, that he probably bought at a brick and mortar marina. Seems like he's actually giving a good deal on it, if it is what he says it is.

Nope, Bravo 2 props are EXPENSIVE! That one appears to be decent. He could sit on it for awhile, but only because Bravo 2s have really fallen out of favor, due to the Bravo 3.

Yeah I am seeing Bravo 2 Aluminums going for almost $400 on eBay. That's where he should list it. More chance of someone finding it.

It is true that Bravo 2 Props are expensive. I scored a nice used Bravo 2 prop on ebay for $75.00 and was happy with that. New they start at $450 for aluminum. ^^^^ this guy is out of his mind. BTW have you seen the price of Bravo 3 props

Yeah, if you look long enough on Ebay you can get a used set for under $600. No sane individual pays Mercruiser Dealer retail cost for them.
