I wouldn't laugh too hard at that one. It could be worth something . . . ;)

That IS an original Chris Craft inline. Many of the classic mid 40s and 50's Chris's used those. I think they refer to it as an MBL for some reason.

You may not, but I will! And I'll laugh even harder at tinker's comment! Good one, for a Hoopie! (I grew up 5 miles from Chester, WV, in East Liverpool, OH)

Hehe, Hoopie, I haven't heard that term in years! Not since I worked up in that area in the 90's. Silly Buckeye's..
But seriously, I was just making a joke, and it may actually be worth something, but I would imagine the market is extremely limited for something of that vintage.
But yes, it could be worth something....to the right person. The trick is getting the two connected. ;)

The boat isn't in bad shape. Outdrive probably would work if it was on the boat instead of sitting in his garage. Motor might run too - if it wasn't disassembled. But the sad part is his reason for selling. Welcome to adulthood:

"I am looking to sell now as I have found out that my girlfriend is expecting..."

I'm going to have to disagree with the above post...the ad is very well written, informative and forthright. The seller is not to be mocked because he needs to sell a boat. So his girlfriend is pregnant. Guess what? It happens and he's attempting to take responsibility by unloading a financial burden. I applaud the seller! This ad does not belong in this thread.

Good day.

BTW, his grammar was very good, and he only misspelled 5 words out of an over 800 word description.

That, my friend, is better than most adults can accomplish these days!

If that forward part of the keel didn't have exposed glass matting, it could make a good little fishing boat.

I do like how he wants $20 to take a photo and write an ad (he was on the net already, I am sure!), and watch you come haul it away, though!

Maybe it includes the cat?? lol

I actually took it that tomhath felt the same way you (and I) do ;)

I think the ad belongs on this thread because of his glowing description of the boat that's actually a basket case. I wasn't mocking him for his reason for selling - more like sympathizing. Last summer he had a lot of fun with that boat and planned to refurbish it and have an even better time next year...

I'm gonna say he DOES indeed belong here.... His boat needs no more than about 50 words to make the add I personally really dislike sellers that write a book on c/l so that you can't easily FIND the few needed details and the one all important figure... as I didn't read the whole add I can't say for sure but I THINK the seller omitted it... THE PRICE!
