Ummm, Rat Rod boat????

Ad: http://knoxville.craigslist.org/boa/2985920952.html:
How Cool Is This ? Start a new trend with a RAT ROD BOAT.
Put some seats in it. Give it a radical paint job. Hang a monster motor on it and burn up the lake.
The transom and floor are solid and sound. The hull is still slick. However the upper half, the deck is sun bleached and spider cracked. The gell coat is gone.
Will need paint, interior, steering, motor and trailer......
THE TRAILER IS NOT INCLUDED.
19 foot Norris Craft XDL.
Has a hot foot, 18 gallon alum. fuel tank, Chrome ski pole.
Just bring a trailer and take it home. Could be hauled on a 16 foot utility trailer with some old tires for cushin.
FREE, FREE, FREE, ... NO MOTOR and NO TRAILER
email or call 423/XXX-XXXX and leave a message and I will call back in the order I receive your calls

Thank goodness, they graciously agree to return ALL (???) the phone calls they'll be getting in the order they were received...???????? How many calls are they expecting, that buyers have to take a number & wait to be called....??????

With ad copy this great, I have already signed a blank check & sent it overnight special delivery before 10am:facepalm:

Here is one of the local ones:
http://toronto.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehicles-boats-watercraft-powerboats-motorboats-Ready-to-Drop-Ancher-W0QQAdIdZ376407376
Capture.JPG

He is ready to drop and "Ancher" (not sure if he means the whole boat as the "Ancher").
This boat has everything you need to land the big one: Build in Live well, fish finder, AM/FM casette deck radio, working deck lights, custom steeling conceal, two gas tanks
I should try my radio to help me "land a big one". Maybe some tranquil music will make fish relaxed and they will float to the top....?

^This.... What the heck is this?

Is it some sort of floating efficiency apartment or what? Homeless shelter on the water? There's a bunch of uber tiny, stuffy looking, dilapidated rooms with patio doors that open up to a sheer drop into the water. I... just don't even know what I'm looking at here. It doesn't even seem to have any form of bridge to navigate from or propulsion system to move it for that matter.

Oh yeah, this boat is fast. When was the last time you saw a boat pop a wheelie like that?

is the tree to "pop a wheelie included"
that would be a dealbreaker if it was not.................

They are all over the place down near Sausalito, CA, on the San Fransisco Bay, ever seen Sleepless in Seatle? T Hanks lived in 1.

Also very popular in other countries......

And depending on the location, it wouldn't be out of line if in good shape. SW Florida, in this economy, looking like a wreck, nope.....

The Florida Keys maybe? I can't figure where in SW Florida these might be..... Been most of the way Jacksonville to Key West & never seen them, been to a few places in the panhandle & along the west coast too......

Re: Funny "TLC needed" boat ads on Craigslist.

Giant hole to throw money in (Berea, Ohio):

I have a 1984 Imperial VC230 with a semi-bad transom...meaning there is bad area at the lower, starboard quarter where the transom plate mounts. I am scrapping the boat as I don't have the desire to tackle repairing it. As I see it, it would make an awesome flower planter for the right front yard, or possibly a training boat for a watercraft fire department. Sadly, the @ss-heads that built it, were smart enough to use foam filled stringers (which are fine), but a wood transom. Because of that, I am buying a new boat. Price is $0.00 if you come and get it. Price is negotiable. Willing to trade for thin air.

It's $0.00 if you pick it up. When you get there the price is NEQ?? @ss-heads... I'll need to remember that... Semi-bad transom.....
