Was searching for parts on another boat and came across this.
I'm no marketing genius, but I would have mentioned that the "spair" has obviously never been used LOL:facepalm:
Wonder what kind of treatment is used on "leather" seats in a boat. (hey I have grandkids and leather furniture... this info would be handy to have!!)

If I'm reading this right he is saying that you can find a motor on CL for $150.00 to $400.00. I'm assuming he means one in good running condition. WOW! I'm going where he is to buy my next motor. Sure can't find that kind of bargain in my neck of the woods these days. Come to think of it, I can't ever remember a time when you could find that kind of bargain here.

I like the line in his ad... "Asking $400. but would consider some trades nothing that eats or craps."

It's just you. Those glastron's have oddly shaped transoms and that one is painted black.

It may be "road ready" but I don't intend to drive it that much on the highway. What I want to know is whether it's lake ready.

"The floor will have to be replaced, but that's just a minor little detail considering the value of this boat"

Gotta love it! just a minor detail! = deck, stringers, transom, gelcoat, foam, tons of labor... hehe wow

I am QUITE embarrassed to admit it but I'm actually kinda tempted by this one..... It's silly, ugly, just plain messed up BUT can you imagine what it would do with a 260 dropped in LOL

This is the first one of these that I have ever seen. It has a Mercruiser 120hp inboard outboard motor. I'm not sure when the boat was last used but it has been winterized. I believe the motor and outdrive will change out with the 140hp. The motor, outdrive and prop are worth way more than the asking price. The boat itself is in good shape but needs a lot of attention and resto.

Again I'm pretty ashamed of myself but hey I gotta hurry if I'm gonna get it before EZMOBEE does:D

Re: Funny "TLC needed" boat ads on Craigslist.

You laugh, but I have actually seen that ad posted numerous times in my area lately, a SCAM of course! She?? says to send her x amount of dollars as a down payment, yeah! OK!

These scammers were amusing at first, but are now just getting annoying. Every third ad is a scam. So buyer beware, if it sounds too good to be true, it is. I get these scams shut down, but they just pop back up in multiplied numbers, the only defence to them is to properly inform the legit buyers.

Just as a FYI, Ebay, Craigslist, Kijiji, etc..., does not have a "shipping" dept. of any kind, and does not take down payments. Any mention of this is a scam.

Sorry to get offhand, just venting ;)

I found an ad I was sure was a scam but drove four hours to be sure. I came home with a 1985 Ranger 375V for $2500. Has new Maxxum 70 trolling motor that as \never been in the water and Johnson GT150 rebulit in 08. Also brand new Lorwance and Eagle fishfinders I priced online for over $500. Hydraulic brakes on the triailer as well. I went by the Ranger dealer where he claimed to have it serviced and they printed out over $6000 worth of receipts of work that had been done to this boat and engine. I am telling everyone I klnow (or don't know for that matter) about this deal.

smoke is embarrassing all us bottom feeders. He's made $246 profit so far on the Steplift. Add another almost $2k for this and who knows how much on the next one, before ya know it he's driving a brand new Bertram for FREE.
