Re: Former Smokers

Well folks as of today I have smoked some 30 odd years and I am down to my last 7 packs and then it's good-bye 'ol hav-a tampa for me.
I am overweight and am on a diet and these things are starting to get the best of me.
I can hear/feel my heartbeat in my head at times, so I know that my BP is out the roof so I am quitting.
Will keep you posted if I don't eat the monitor. :D

Re: Former Smokers

It's been 12 years since my last one. My grandfather, who got the rest of the family into boating (42' Chriscraft), died of lung cancer likely from smoking. That was enough for me. Quitting smoking was something I had to do. I think the best advice for someone who's trying to quit is what ODD1 said, "One day at a time".

I second that ("one day at a time").
It's all that matters in the end.
