Searching for different materials to restore floor i came accross a new product to me anyway, it's a tile floor sub flooring material.
Tile backer DENSGUARD by georgia pacific. in its literature it says "Densguard is composed of propriority water resistant treated core that is covered front and back with fiberglass mats. The coated mats are permantely intergrated with the core during manufctring, preventing delamination problems associated with green board. Heat cured acrylic coating that stops surface water and retards vapor transmission protecting the wall cavity and substrate..it's other strengths are its 30% lighter."
i looked at the 3x5 sheets 1/4 and 1/2 in, i think the only prioblem might be the span between braces. of course you can always ad more.
3x5 1/4 was 8.95.......this material describes just what i'm doing to my plywood.....anybody used it??
i looked at nautolex and don't need a 600 floor.
thanks for responses and glad i found this site.
